What do we do?

eDeposit has services which protect both the buyer and seller in an auction transaction. The company's products are based upon an account management system utilizing deposits to guarantee buyer and seller authenticity / intention. We have handled the deposit process for over 5,000 online and traditional auctions.

Who are we?

eDeposit began assuring auctions in 1999 with our BidDeposit and Payment Services. The company's flagship service is a tool to make buyers' lives easier in real estate auctions by enabling the buyer to make an online deposit. The service was a success with online auction company, Bid4Assets, which continues to utilize these auction tools today. Other key customers include the U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Postal Service and the states of Georgia, Maryland and Virginia.

Our Service...

Protects sellers from winning auction buyers who occasionally back out or attempt to renegotiate the final pricing/terms during settlement.

Protects sellers from bidders/buyers who misrepresent themselves or fail to complete transactions.

Provides an easy to use web-based solution to financially qualify buyers seeking to participate in online auctions and sales.

Shields buyers from having to divulge confidential financial and banking information online to sellers or other unknown parties.

Services Offered:

Identity Verification - Through Equifax we will ensure that both buyers and sellers are who they say they are. This verification is required of every eDeposit account holder- buyer or seller.

Bidder Qualification (Future) - eBay sellers can qualify bidders by taking a deposit to bid.

Inspect and Pay - This service allows a buyer to inspect merchandise before paying for it. The purchase price of the item is be held in an escrow account until the buyer has been able to inspect the merchandise and the money will either be returned to the buyer or transferred to the seller based upon the outcome of the inspection.

Seller Certification (Coming in August) - This program will give an authorized seller a medallion, to use on their item listing, which offers insurance for the buyer, if necessary, and a mediation program for disputes. Thus significantly reducing the incidence of seller fraud.

What makes eDeposit a safe place to do business?

All eDeposit account holder's funds are FDIC insured up to $100,000. Account holder information is safe and not accessible to other buyers or sellers in our network. eDeposit protects users assets by providing a safe and secure environment for executing their online auction transactions.
