The Privacy Statement describes how eDeposit collects information when you access our site, how eDeposit uses and shares this information and what choices you have in managing your privacy. How Do We Collect Information?

In keeping with eDeposit’s policy, we do not sell, share, rent or trade your Personal Information with anyone, except as described below.

  • to combat fraud or criminal activity, and to protect the rights of eDeposit

If, however, eDeposit is requesting to use your Personal Information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection, we will notify you of changes in our policy and describe options for your participation.

Note: If a user has opted out of all communication with eDeposit, or deleted/deactivated their account, their Personal Information will not be affected by the change in our policy.


We may share Non-Personal Information:

  • with Third-Party Service Partners for their own analysis and research or to facilitate targeted content and ads, or

What Are Your Choices?

How Can You Update Your Information?

An account holder can log in to their account at eDeposit.com to correct or update their Personal Information any time after they have established a registered account.

 

How Does eDeposit Keep Your Personal Information Safe and Secure?

eDeposit strives to maintain the privacy of your Personal Information through the use of reasonable administrative, procedural, technical, and physical security measures. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. Please do not send us any Personal Information through unsecured channels, including e-mail or social media sites. After you reach us using a secure browser, eDeposit safeguards the information you provide through the use of firewalls and encryption using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

 

Fraud and Risk Service Providers

eDeposit may arrange for one or more service providers to provide background information on you if you are performing financial transactions on the eDeposit website. Such providers may include federal authorities and watch list providers (e.g., Office of Foreign Assets Control) and also may include third party audit services that will protect eDeposit and you from account takeovers, phishing and other schemes designed to fraudulently use your account.

 

Information from eDeposit Service Partners

eDeposit may arrange for one or more services on the eDeposit website to be provided to you in whole or in part by a third party partner. For example, eDeposit may arrange for a third party partner to provide electronic funds transfer services to you. The services of these third party partners are governed by their privacy policies, not the eDeposit Privacy Statement. This third party partner may share information about your transactions with eDeposit for display on the eDeposit website and for purposes permissible under this Privacy Statement.

Other Information Pertaining to Your Account

For regulatory purposes, eDeposit is required to keep all required account information on file for five years, excluding specific financial information such as credit card numbers, bank account numbers, etc. At your request, we will deactivate your account and delete your specific financial information from our user registration database.

 

Can this Privacy Statement Change?

eDeposit reserves the right to change this Privacy Statement at any time. We will post those changes to this Privacy Statement viewable via our website and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of notice on the eDeposit home page.

 

Legally Required and Other Disclosures

There may be occasions where we believe in good faith that we are legally obligated to disclose information about you, such as in response to a subpoena, or to comply with a legally-permitted inquiry by a government agency or regulator. We may also disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that may be illegal or may expose us to legal liability.

If you become involved in a dispute relating to the use of our services, or our fees, including arbitration or litigation to resolve the dispute, we may disclose your name, address, telephone number, and email address.

We observe standard industry practice to protect your privacy; however, we cannot absolutely guarantee that your Personal Information will at all times remain private, for instance from hackers. Fraud occurs on even the most secure sites, and consumers agree that the use of our site is at their own risk.

By using eDeposit, you acknowledge and understand that you are aware of security and privacy limitations, including but not limited to: (1) the limitation of security, privacy and authentication measures and features in this system; (2) that data or information on the service may be subject to outside threats and (3) that data may not reach its destination or may reach an erroneous address or recipient.

 

Glossary

eDeposit - A Financial Services corporation.

Clickstream Data - Usage and browsing information, such as a user’s page viewing history and clicks on items within a website, usually stored in log files.

Cookie - A small data file placed on your hard drive. Cookies help us keep records, store your preferences, and improve our advertising.

IP Address - A number assigned to a device when connecting to the Internet.

Non-Personal Information - Information that cannot identify a person such as Cookie data.

Other Web Technologies - Web beacons, pixels, and other technologies, which transfer information from your computer to a server connected to the Internet.

Personal Information - Information that can identify a person, such as name, address, date of birth and e-mail address.

Third-Party Ad-Servers - Companies that provide the technology to place ads on websites and track ad performance.

Third-Party Service Partners - Companies that provide services to eDeposit customers in support of transactions/activities initiated via eDeposit’s website.
